Suzanne Noble has been a publicist for over 20 years working with both small and large business. In March 2014 she transitioned her career to tech launching a mobile app for Londoners on a budget called Frugl. Within a few months Frugl had been featured in Metro, the Evening Standard, Reuters, Tech City News and others.
I have been working in PR since the early 90's, from the first dotcom boom right up until 2014 when I transitioned my career into tech, creating an app called Frugl. While working in PR, I mainly specialised in entertainment, health & fitness and brands appealing to families and children across both trade and consumer media. For six years I was the PR & Marketing Director for popular children's TV show, LazyTown. During my first six months of working on the programme the show went from being unknown to a UK sensation, with the lead character appearing on TV, radio and newspapers. I created partnerships with both the White House and the UK's Department of Health.
It was while starting to work on Frugl and being completely self-funded that I drew upon my PR skills to achieve publicity and drive downloads. I realised that what I was doing was not being achieved by others in a similar position and it was then that I created 'PR on a Shoestring' to share some of the PR techniques I've used over the past year to help others.
